Welcome to the latest edition of the Key Fund Update. It may have been a couple of months since our last newsletter but we’ve not been resting on our laurels. In April and May, 21 Community and Social Enterprises across the North of England have benefited from over £750,000 of Key Fund loans. We’ll bring you their stories in the months ahead.

Meanwhile this month we’ve exciting news about our offering for New-Start and Early-Stage Social Enterprise Businesses in Yorkshire & the Humber as well as more stories from our amazing clients.

Pastures new....

In March we announced the news that Ann Oldroyd, our Chief Executive for the last eight years and an employee for over 10 years, is retiring from her post as of October 31, 2012. Although it is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Ann, at 65 she feels the time is right for her to move on.  I know you’ll wish Ann all the very best, as we do. This is an opportune time to celebrate what the Key Fund has achieved under Ann’s leadership. Read more

We are seeking special individuals to join our Board of Directors

A member of the Community Development Finance Association, Key Fund invests around £4m annually of loans, equity and grants to developing, new and existing social enterprises across the north of England and is seeking to increase investment over the next two years to £6m annually. Read more

Great news for New-Start and Early Stage Social Businesses in Yorkshire & the Humber…

Our Grant & Loan product is now available to organisations located in the Yorkshire & the Humber Region that have been trading for up to 5 years (previously 3 years) and we now offer a lower minimum loan size to attract the maximum grant we can offer. Read more

Shiloh is a Charity caring for those living poverty, transition, oppression or homeless in the centre of Rotherham.  Around 60 people visit each day in need of food, warmth and a hot shower, wholly cared for by volunteers. Read more

Bright Start for Bransholme with a new Community Day Nursery

Bransholme in Hull is one of the largest housing estates in Europe, with many families needing childcare in order to access work, training or courses in improving parents' life & parenting skills. This assumes all required information is made available and that the Development Officer assigned to your application is satisfied with the information supplied and able to fully complete an assessment of the business case for support.
